Ryan Seacrest, the host of top rated television series American Idol, is polishing up a contract extension with American Idol co-producer 19 Entertainment.

The contract is believed to be for 3 years and will make Seacrest the highest-paid reality t.v hosts.

Currently he earns about $100,000 an episode for a total of $5 million for the season.

Its also rumored that Seacrest may collab with American Idol co-creator Simon Fuller to possibly develop his own series.

Seacrest has a career long reputation for hard work.

Not only does he host American Idol but he also pulls hosting gigs on E! News and radio show “American Top 40″. Seacrest also produces “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated” and ABC’s soon-to-be released program featuring Jamie Oliver.

Speaking of contract negotiations…what’s up with Simon Cowell?

Cowell has already hinted he may ditch American Idol when his contract is up…. unless his demands are met…which according to British media, is $100 million a year.

Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi have all made statements that they would like to work something out to be able to return next year.
