This year, the title goes to Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim, weighing in at $53.5 billion.

Mechanic turned steel baron Vladimir Lisin (right) has replaced Mikhail Prokhorov as Russia’s richest man with a fortune of $18.8 billion. Russian magazine Finans just released its annual ranking of the country’s oligarchs, showing that Prokhorov, known for his shenanigans over the Villa Leopolda, has slipped into second place while Roman Abramovich languishes in third.

Call me socially irresponsible but I can’t, with clear conscious, tell a kid “Just stay in school” the same way adults always told me.

Success….commercial success at least…are hinged on so many other things: Character, People Skills, Passion, Persistence, Courage, Etc.
